About Pinal Hispanic Council Inc
Pinal Hispanic Council is a community behavioral health organization in Casa Grande, Arizona, and part of a network of clinics across southern Arizona that began as a grassroots group focused on behavioral health education. Since 1990 they have built a continuum of care that places people in the level of treatment that fits their needs and lets them step down to other services as they progress. Their outpatient care serves children, youth, adults, and families dealing with alcohol and drug dependency, as well as depression, anxiety, grief, and family conflict. Their work is strengths-based and culturally responsive, it involves family and community in healing, and care is available regardless of ability to pay, with discounts based on household size and income.
Clinical services include assessment and diagnosis, individualized service planning, psychiatric care, medication and lab services, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis intervention, home-based therapy, peer support groups, and aftercare. They also offer counseling for eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger management, domestic violence, and child behavior problems, along with LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS counseling. Each site runs a wellness program with exercise equipment, nutritional counseling, smoking cessation, and community activities. Members can also get help with transportation, permanent supportive housing, and supported employment, with the housing and employment services built on SAMHSA evidence-based practices.
