About Peoples Healthcare Connection

Peoples Healthcare Connection (PHCC) is a community behavioral health agency in Tucson, Arizona, serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Their strength-based, client-focused approach centers on building practical coping skills so people can live as independently and successfully as possible in the community. Their therapists work with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, addictions recovery, relationship violence, and phase-of-life issues. Services include psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, individual therapy, and court-ordered services.

Adults can attend two psychosocial rehabilitation groups each week, with topics such as socialization, depression support, motivation, drug and alcohol awareness education, resilience, and emotional control and anger management. Case managers help clients coordinate medical care, housing, and employment resources, and they also provide hands-on help such as rides to appointments, errands and shopping, food boxes, and daily living support. Individual therapy for adults and adolescents is overseen by a licensed clinical social worker. For young people, the Richey After School Program offers tribal youth homework help, arts and crafts, and social skills development, while the Richey Summer Program works with at-risk kids ages 5 to 17 on resisting peer pressure, refusing alcohol and drugs, setting goals, and coping with family chemical dependency.
