Pennyroyal Center, now operating as CAYA Collaborative Care, is a community behavioral health organization serving Hopkinsville and 17 other counties across western and south central Kentucky. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, they treat substance use, mental health conditions, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, with around-the-clock crisis support by phone, at crisis units, and in the community. For addiction, care begins with an assessment to match each person to the right level of treatment, which can range from individual and group outpatient counseling to an intensive outpatient program and residential care. They also handle court-related needs, including Kentucky DUI assessments and programming, drug court services, and Zero Tolerance services for drivers under 21.

Residential options include Park Place Recovery Center, a CARF-accredited ASAM Level 3.5 program with non-medical withdrawal support, therapy and education groups, family sessions, 12-step meetings, and weekly aftercare, as well as Genesis for co-occurring disorders, the 100-bed Trilogy program for women, and a VA-referred program for homeless veterans that pairs treatment with vocational training. Their intensive outpatient program requires at least nine hours of group work per week, and their office-based opioid treatment program blends evidence-based care, medications such as Vivitrol, and Twelve-Step principles for opioid and alcohol use disorders. Peer specialists, targeted and pregnancy case management, psychiatric evaluation, and drug testing round out outpatient support. After treatment, recovery-oriented housing offers structured sober living, and Haven4Change helps women stabilize their lives while working to regain custody of their children.
