Pecan Valley Centers for Behavioral & Developmental Healthcare is a community behavioral health organization headquartered in Granbury, Texas. They have served the area for more than 50 years and act as the Local Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority for Johnson, Somervell, Hood, Erath, Parker, and Palo Pinto counties. Their addiction care is an outpatient substance use disorder program for adolescents and adults working toward sobriety and lasting recovery, built on a trauma-informed approach that helps people uncover what drives their use and build skills to avoid relapse. They do not turn anyone away for inability to pay, and a sliding fee scale based on household size and income lowers costs for substance use services.

Treatment includes individual, group, and family counseling, along with parent education, psychoeducation, skills training, case management, and relapse prevention. Each person also receives treatment, discharge, and aftercare planning to support them after the program ends. Following state and federal requirements, they give priority admission to pregnant women who use drugs, people who inject drugs, those at high risk of overdose, people referred by DFPS, and anyone experiencing homelessness or unstable housing, while everyone else is served in order of arrival. Participants need a current or recent substance use problem that meets DSM-5 criteria for a substance use disorder and a willingness to take part in treatment. Beyond addiction care, they run a 24/7 crisis line, a mobile crisis outreach team, youth and adult crisis respite programs, and a veterans program offering peer support, PTSD groups, mental health care, and financial help.
