About Pauquette Center for
Pauquette Center for Psychological Services is a counseling practice with a clinic in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, and a network of offices across south central Wisconsin. They began in 1965 as a single clinic in Portage and were early adopters of combining mental health and addiction counseling. Today they provide state-licensed services that include alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) treatment alongside care for depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship struggles. Their stated goal is an affirming, culturally responsive space where people of every race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and faith feel respected.
Individual psychotherapy covers a wide range of concerns, including child and adolescent counseling, couples work, parenting issues, gender-affirming care, stress management, and PTSD treatment. Skills-based groups currently meet by telehealth and address anger management, coping skills for adults and teens, chronic pain, parenting and caregiving, and reproductive trauma. A comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program is a cornerstone of their work, and the team includes psychologists, therapists, and advanced practice nurse prescribers who offer medication services. Specialty options include Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), domestic violence programming, ASL therapy for Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, faith and spirituality services, evaluations and assessments, and forensic services.
