About Pauquette Center for
Pauquette Center for Psychological Services is a mental health counseling practice with a clinic in Baraboo, Wisconsin, part of a network of locations across South Central Wisconsin. They opened in Portage in 1965 and were early adopters of combining mental health and addiction counseling, an approach that still shapes their care. Their state-licensed services include psychotherapy, alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) treatment, domestic violence and anger management programs, and group therapy. They also help people with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship struggles, with a focus on inclusive, culturally responsive care for clients of every background and identity.
Individual therapy covers children, adolescents, and couples, along with PTSD treatment, gender-affirming care, parenting concerns, stress management, and support for survivors of intimate partner violence. Skills-based groups currently meet by telehealth and include anger management, coping skills for adults and teens, chronic pain, parenting and caregiving, and reproductive trauma. Their clinical team of psychologists, therapists, and advanced practice nurse prescribers provides medication services, evaluations, forensic services, and faith-based counseling. They also run a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program led by board-certified DBT clinicians, offer ASL therapy for Deaf and hard of hearing clients, and take part in Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) with several counties.
