About Pathways to Life

Pathways to Life, Inc. is a community behavioral health organization headquartered in Greenville, North Carolina, with additional offices in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Since 2006, they have offered a whole-person model that brings mental health care, substance use treatment, and primary medical care together under one roof. Their substance use services include a Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP), Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT), office-based opioid treatment (OBOT), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and peer support. They serve both adults and children, including people managing co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.

Care typically begins with an assessment and can include individual, family, or group therapy focused on building coping skills. Physicians and prescribers handle medication management, and an on-site CLIA-certified lab supports testing to monitor medications and treatment compliance. For people who need more intensive help, their Community Support Team and Assertive Community Treatment Team work with clients at home, at school, or at work, and the ACTT team is available around the clock to help people stay out of the hospital. Tailored care management, medical case management, and telehealth visits round out their services.
