About Passion Care Center

Passion Care Center is a bilingual outpatient treatment center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, serving adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or both. Founded in 2013 by Eli Santiago, they combine addiction care, behavioral health, and primary care in one setting and place strong emphasis on involving the whole family in recovery. They treat alcohol, opioid, cocaine, benzodiazepine, amphetamine, marijuana, and prescription drug use, as well as synthetic substances like K2 and bath salts. Care ranges from early intervention and education to standard outpatient (1–8 hours weekly), intensive outpatient (at least 9 hours weekly), and partial care (about 20 hours weekly).

Every new client starts with an assessment to match them to the right level of care, and each adult works with an assigned licensed counselor and therapist throughout treatment. Therapy draws on CBT, REBT, motivational interviewing, motivational enhancement therapy, and individual, group, and family sessions, with 12-step involvement and relapse-prevention planning built in. They also offer medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone and Vivitrol, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, a dedicated program for middle and high school students, and periodic yoga, music, aromatherapy, and art therapy. After treatment, their voluntary Passion Cares aftercare program provides ongoing therapy, recovery resources, and monthly alumni gatherings, which can be especially helpful for people finishing drug court, probation, or parole requirements.
