About Palm Tree Ranch

Palm Tree Ranch is an adult addiction treatment program run by Towns Health Services, with facilities in Galt and nearby Herald in Northern California. They treat drug and alcohol addiction along with co-occurring mental health disorders, offering inpatient residential care, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient and other outpatient counseling. The program is led by Dr. Towns, who is double board-certified in addiction medicine and internal medicine. Palm Tree Ranch is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and accredited by the Joint Commission.

Each client gets an individualized treatment plan, and the length of stay is set during the initial assessment rather than fixed in advance. Their PHP provides intensive daily treatment while letting participants return home each evening, and outpatient scheduling is designed to fit around work and family life. They serve a wide mix of people, including veterans, military members, CPS and drug court participants, union members, and healthcare workers, and Dr. Towns offers confidential evaluations for nurses and EMTs that meet California licensing board standards. They are in network with Medi-Cal, Tricare, TriWest, Cigna, and Evernorth, accept out-of-network benefits from several other insurers, and help clients navigate work leave and California State Disability Insurance during treatment.
