About Orchard on the Brazos Recovery
Orchard on the Brazos Recovery is a family-owned drug and alcohol rehab on a 132-acre rural campus in Wallis, Texas, founded in 2019 by Dan and Brandy Lummis, who both went through residential treatment themselves. They treat adults 18 and older who come voluntarily, and they address addiction alongside co-occurring issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, with an emphasis on dignity, autonomy, and individualized care. Their continuum runs from medically supervised detox to residential treatment and then extended care, which includes a partial hospitalization program on the Wallis campus. An intensive outpatient program is offered at their Houston Uptown office, along with family programming.
In residential care, each person meets one-on-one with a licensed chemical dependency counselor and a mental health counselor twice a week, attends daily group therapy, and can work on trauma in both individual and group settings. Programming also covers substance education, relapse-prevention planning, case management for life after treatment, and on-site AA meetings that are open to the wider community, followed by alumni fellowship. Residents keep their phones and laptops when appropriate, have private bedrooms, and receive care from an on-site physician, nurses available around the clock, and a psychiatrist who sees them weekly. Families are invited to weekend visits and monthly events, and treatment is billed as a single all-inclusive price, with insurance accepted.
