About Operation PAR Inc

Operation PAR Inc is a Largo, Florida-based addiction treatment provider that has served people and families affected by substance use for more than 50 years. They treat alcohol, opioid, and other drug use while also attending to mental health and the physical and emotional sides of recovery. Their care includes medical detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, and telehealth. They also run prevention programs for children and families. Adult residential care takes place at the Largo campus, and adolescents are served at a separate campus in St. Petersburg.

Residential stays offer 24-hour support. A board-certified psychiatrist oversees admission decisions, and a multidisciplinary team guides treatment. Programming includes individual and gender-specific group therapy, anger management and behavioral intervention, recreation and creative arts therapy, prescription drug monitoring, and continuing care planning, and teens can keep up with schooling through an onsite Pinellas County high school and vocational education. Outpatient clients receive psychiatric evaluations, family counseling, life management skills, random drug testing, and HIV and hepatitis risk education. For opioid use, their MAPS program pairs methadone, buprenorphine, or Vivitrol with counseling and includes specialized options for pregnant patients. MAPS operates at CARF-accredited, Medicaid-accepting clinics across much of Florida’s Gulf Coast.
