About OMNI Youth Services

OMNI Youth Services, now known simply as OMNI, is a nonprofit community behavioral health organization that has served Wheeling and surrounding communities in Chicago’s northwest suburbs since 1972. Alongside mental health counseling, crisis support, and youth and family programs, they provide outpatient substance use treatment for teens, adults, and families. Their substance use services include drug and alcohol evaluations, drug testing, and basic outpatient counseling, all built around a mission of keeping care affordable and accessible regardless of a person’s circumstances.

Counseling is available individually, with family members, or in groups, either in person or virtually, and sessions can be conducted in English or Spanish. Teens and adults working toward recovery can join the Seven Challenges program, a structured approach that helps participants find their own motivation to change while addressing the life skills gaps and psychological issues that often accompany substance use. Adults 18 and older can drop into free weekly SMART Recovery meetings without registering, and the group welcomes people struggling with gambling, pornography, and other compulsive behaviors as well as drugs and alcohol. For younger people showing early warning signs or facing a first offense, a four-hour education course for youth ages 10 and up and their families can be completed at home or at school.
