About Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare
Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare is a community behavioral health agency in Omak, Washington, serving residents across Okanogan County. Their holistic approach aims to promote wellness and long-term recovery, and they offer mental health, substance use disorder, crisis, youth, early childhood, developmental disability, and psychiatric medication management services under one roof. For substance use, care begins with an assessment that sets the recommended level of care. From there, clients may receive individual counseling, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) of 9 to 19 hours per week, or lower-intensity weekly groups, and crisis responders are available around the clock.
The weekly groups include Moral Reconation Therapy, Seeking Safety, Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, and other relapse prevention work. People with legal or employment requirements will find a lot of support here, including DUI and deferred prosecution treatment that meets state standards, assessments for the Department of Licensing, CPS, and other referral sources, progress reports to referents, and an 8- to 12-hour Alcohol/Drug Information School held every two months. They also serve as the treatment partner for Okanogan County’s Adult Felony Drug Court, a 24-month program, and DUI Court, a 12-month program, which combine counseling, random drug testing, and judicial supervision, with successful graduates possibly having charges dismissed or sentences reduced. Anyone with questions about their own or a loved one’s alcohol or drug use can book a free, confidential prevention appointment.
