About Nystrom and Associates Ltd

Nystrom and Associates, now part of Sagent Behavioral Health, is an outpatient behavioral health provider serving the Saint Paul, Minnesota area. Their substance use disorder program is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. They treat addiction as a complex health condition rather than a moral failing and address physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, and personal goals together. Care is delivered in person at clinics across the state or virtually, through intensive outpatient, standard outpatient, and co-occurring treatment tracks.

For adults, the intensive outpatient program meets three times a week and the outpatient program meets weekly, with both typically lasting about 10 weeks. A separate co-occurring track combines twice-weekly groups with individual therapy over 10 to 15 weeks for people managing both mental health and substance use concerns. Teens ages 12 to 18 can join an intensive program with groups three times a week and weekly counseling, or a six-week first-time program focused on healthy habits. Additional supports include medication-assisted treatment for cravings and withdrawal, relapse prevention skill building, peer support from people with lived experience, coordination with in-house psychiatry, and the virtual Driving With Careâ„¢ education program for DWI or DUI charges. Most insurance is accepted, including Medicare and Medical Assistance, and a reduced rate is available for uninsured patients.
