About Nystrom and Associates Ltd

Nystrom and Associates, now part of Sagent Behavioral Health, offers outpatient substance use and mental health care at their Cambridge, Minnesota clinic, one of dozens of locations across a five-state network. They view addiction as a complex health condition rather than a moral failing, and they treat the whole person by addressing physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, and life goals. Their licensed alcohol and drug counselors, therapists, and psychiatry providers work together on substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Care is offered at the outpatient and intensive outpatient levels under Minnesota DHS licensing.

Adults can join an intensive outpatient program that meets three times a week, a lighter outpatient track with one weekly group and regular counseling, or a co-occurring program that pairs twice-weekly groups with individual therapy over 10 to 15 weeks. Teens ages 12 to 18 have their own intensive program, along with a six-week First Time Program built around healthy habits for those new to treatment. Medication-assisted treatment helps manage cravings and withdrawal, and peer support specialists, relapse prevention planning, and on-site psychiatry round out the program. They also offer Driving With Care, a virtual education course for people facing DWI or DUI charges, and they accept Medical Assistance and most other insurance, with a reduced rate for uninsured patients.
