About Northpointe Council Inc

Northpointe Council is a long-standing not-for-profit in Lockport, New York, offering prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery services for people in the Greater Niagara Area affected by substance use disorders and other addictions. Their outpatient clinics are state-licensed and confidential, serving both adolescents and adults with interdisciplinary, person-centered care. Clinics operate in Lockport and Niagara Falls, with a satellite site at the New Directions Wyndham Lawn Campus. For more than five decades, they have worked with individuals, families, schools, and employers across the region.

Adults 18 and older can receive medication-assisted treatment, including buprenorphine (Suboxone), Vivitrol, acamprosate, and nicotine replacement therapy. Open access hours on weekday mornings let new clients get an assessment without waiting for an appointment, and current clients can see a clinician when they need immediate support. Evening hours run Monday through Thursday, most insurance is accepted, and a sliding-scale fee is available for people without coverage. They also run New York’s Impaired Driver Program in partnership with the DMV, a seven-week, 16-hour course for people convicted of impaired driving that includes self-assessment and referrals for further evaluation or treatment, along with prevention programs for schools and employee assistance.
