About Northland Dependency Services LLC

Northland Dependency Services is a Kansas City, Missouri, provider of court-related services that has worked with people across the metro area for more than 30 years, with additional offices in Liberty, Independence, Richmond, Excelsior Springs, and Platte County. They are best known for Missouri’s SATOP program, which helps people with alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses work toward license reinstatement. The process starts with an assessment screening, where a certified SATOP counselor determines the right level of placement. Nearly all SATOP programming can be completed online or in person, and staff guide participants through each step.

Beyond SATOP, they offer probation and pretrial supervision for local courts and help clients meet special conditions. When needed, they also refer people to outside treatment, housing, and employment support. Substance-related options include a 10-hour Substance Abuse Education Program, a Drug Free Program that adds three random drug tests over 90 days, alcohol and drug testing, and substance abuse and mental health evaluations. They also run an individual problem gambling program, a Victim Impact Panel, a 26-week state-certified domestic violence intervention program, and virtual anger control classes. Classes meet during the day, in the evening, and on weekends, some are available in Spanish, and reduced fees are offered to people who qualify.
