Northlake Behavioral Health System is a nonprofit psychiatric hospital in Mandeville, Louisiana, offering inpatient and outpatient care for adults and adolescents facing mental health and substance use challenges. They have served the Northshore community for nearly 50 years, and they also operate as a teaching hospital for Louisiana clinicians. They treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and substance use disorders, including co-occurring addiction and mental illness. Levels of care include detox, acute adult inpatient care for ages 18 and up, an adolescent inpatient unit for ages 12 to 17, a partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program.

A team of psychiatrists, counselors, social workers, nurses, and mental health technicians builds an individualized plan for each patient, using CBT, DBT, EMDR, and group therapy alongside art, music, and virtual reality therapy. For addiction, they offer medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders, the Matrix Model for stimulant use such as cocaine and methamphetamine, and a recovery-model approach to relapse prevention. Adult IOP groups meet three hours a day, Monday through Friday, with individual and family sessions as needed, so people can keep working or attending school. Their admissions team provides no-cost assessments around the clock, and they accept most PPO and HMO plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid for inpatient stays, but not Medicaid for outpatient services.
