About Northeast Treatment Centers
Northeast Treatment Centers, known as NET Centers, is a nonprofit behavioral health and social services agency founded in 1970 and based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with sites across Greater Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, and Delaware. Their addiction services are built on a Recovery Oriented System of Care model, which treats recovery as a long-term process the person helps shape rather than a single episode of treatment. They work with adults facing substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions, and offer both drug-free and medication-assisted paths. Their continuum includes walk-in assessment and referral, outpatient treatment, opioid treatment programs, residential care, and inpatient detox.
A walk-in intake service called Access Point handles evaluations and connects people to the right level of care, and each person is assessed individually before a plan is set. Medication-assisted treatment is available at several opioid treatment program locations, and integrated care clinics bring behavioral and physical health services together. For more intensive needs, they run Lehigh Recovery Center, a residential program for men and women, and Kirkwood Recovery Center, a medically monitored inpatient detox program in northern Delaware. A distinctive part of their approach is that peer support from people in recovery is woven into every stage of treatment, and they also provide drug and alcohol case management and services inside the Philadelphia prison system.
