NorthCare, formally North Oklahoma County Mental Health Center, is a community behavioral health provider in Oklahoma City serving children, adults, and families dealing with mental illness, substance use, trauma, and crisis. As one of Oklahoma’s first three Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, they combine mental health, physical health, and addiction care so clients can address body and mind together. Their substance use services are outpatient and cover alcohol and drug dependence, co-occurring disorders, and gambling for adults, adolescents, and families. As a safety-net provider, they accept Medicaid and some private insurance, offer a sliding fee scale based on income and family size, and turn no one away for inability to pay.

Outpatient care includes group and individual therapy, care navigation, wellness case management, and peer recovery support, along with medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders. NorthCare works closely with the Oklahoma County court system as a provider for Drug Court, DUI Court, Mental Health Court, and Family Treatment Court, and they conduct risk assessments for people facing felony charges through the county’s diversion process. They also offer state-certified ADSAC DUI schools and outpatient programs, 10- and 24-hour early intervention education, substance use screening and referral, and drug and alcohol testing. Additional supports include trauma-informed care, an on-site pharmacy, and 24/7 crisis intervention for all ages in Oklahoma and Logan Counties.
