About NewDay Center

NewDay Center is a Christian addiction treatment and mental health counseling provider for adults, with an outpatient counseling office in Indianapolis near Carmel and additional outpatient sites in Greenfield, Shelbyville, and Frankfort. They anchor recovery in a Christian worldview and organize care around four areas of healing: spiritual, physical, relational, and purposeful. Their levels of care include a 28- to 45-day residential program for men with 24-hour support on a 60-acre property outside Bloomington, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), weekly individual counseling, and a structured post-treatment program. Beyond substance use, they also help with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and behavioral addictions such as gambling, pornography, and compulsive shopping.

All of their programs follow a curriculum that blends biblical teaching with evidence-based practice, delivered by licensed counselors, medical professionals, ordained clergy, and peer counselors. Residential clients receive about 30 hours of group therapy and one to two hours of individual therapy each week, along with spiritual discipleship, experiential therapy, and fitness and recreational activities. The in-person IOP meets three days a week for three-hour sessions over six to eight weeks, so men and women can keep working, attending school, or caring for family while in treatment. After treatment, clients can continue with individual counseling, a six-month study guide, mentor training, and an alumni community, while NewDay coordinates with each person’s family and local church and also offers family addiction counseling.
