About New Vista

New Vista is the community mental health center for 17 counties in Central Kentucky, with their main campus in Lexington and additional anchor centers in Danville, Richmond, and Georgetown, plus satellite offices and telehealth across the region. They serve children and adults with care for mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and primary care, so people can address addiction alongside other health needs in one system. Their substance use services span outpatient therapy, an intensive outpatient program, residential treatment, and medication-assisted recovery. They hold that anyone is capable of recovery and lasting sobriety, and they aim to see new clients quickly at whichever office is closest.

Outpatient addiction care is led by licensed behavioral health professionals using approaches with proven results, and it can include individual, group, family, and couples sessions focused on relapse prevention and building practical recovery skills. Specialized tracks include a drug court program, an Under 21 DUI program, and Seeking Safety, which addresses trauma and substance use together. Because they also offer primary care screenings, care coordination, and case management, clients can get help with physical health and community resources while in treatment, and any psychiatric medication is prescribed sparingly and only alongside therapy. Their Lexington campus also houses a Behavioral Health Urgent Care, and a 24-hour helpline serves as the entry point for every program.
