About New Hope Counseling and Recovery

New Hope Counseling and Recovery is an outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment provider in Pineville, Kentucky, serving children, teens, adults, couples, and families. They treat substance use alongside a broad range of mental health concerns, so clients can keep up with work, school, and family life while in care. Services include individual, couples, family, and group counseling, case management, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for both adults and adolescents. They are CARF accredited and approved by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and their programming can count toward court, drug court, probation, and parole requirements.

The adult IOP begins with a three-month phase built on the Matrix Model, an evidence-based curriculum focused on the skills needed to stay sober, followed by three months of aftercare, with random drug screening throughout. Adults who cannot attend in person can complete IOP virtually from home or work. Teens struggling with nicotine or other substances follow a similar two-phase path using the Matrix Model for Teens and Young Adults, with random oral swab tests confirmed by a lab. For children as young as five, they offer mental health care that includes play therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, and animal-assisted therapy, coordinated with families, caregivers, primary care providers, and schools.
