About Moving Mountains Recovery LLC

Moving Mountains Recovery is an outpatient addiction and mental health treatment center in Randolph, New Jersey, serving adults with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or both through dual diagnosis care. They view addiction as a treatable disease rather than a moral failing, and they keep groups small so each client gets real individual attention. Their levels of care include a partial care program, intensive outpatient (IOP), and standard outpatient, and they help clients arrange detox and inpatient placement when a higher level of care is needed first. A central goal throughout is helping people discover new interests and passions that make a life without drugs or alcohol feel worth living.

The partial care program runs six days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM. Each day has its own theme, such as psychoeducation, emotions, relapse prevention, relationships, skills building, and self-worth, and clients receive breakfast and lunch, transportation, and access to doctors, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. Many partial care clients stay in partnered community housing for added structure. IOP meets three to five days a week, with morning (9 AM to 12 PM) and evening (6 PM to 9 PM) tracks for people balancing work, school, or parenting, and it encourages participation in 12-Step fellowships. Across programs, clinical work draws on CBT, DBT, anger and stress management groups, holistic practices, and weekly adventure and recreational therapy, alongside family involvement and an aftercare plan built before discharge.
