About Momenta Recovery
Momenta Recovery is a women-only drug and alcohol treatment center in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, built around trauma-specific care for women whose substance use is tangled up with past trauma, attachment wounds, and mental health conditions. They treat alcohol, opioid, benzodiazepine, methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and designer drug addictions, along with behavioral issues like sex and love addiction and compulsive shopping. Most of their clients have co-occurring diagnoses such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, OCD, or personality disorders, and their therapists hold credentials in both mental health and addiction. Care runs from a 90-day residential program through partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and individualized outpatient support, and the program holds Joint Commission accreditation.
The residential stay is intentionally long, since the team views 90 days as the minimum for meaningful trauma reprocessing, and it includes more than 30 hours of groups and at least three individual sessions each week. PHP is open only to residential graduates, who stay on the same campus while gradually returning to work, school, or volunteering, whereas IOP can serve as either a step down or a first point of entry and includes three three-hour groups weekly, individual therapy, and random drug testing. Clinical work draws on EMDR, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic, humanistic, and integrative therapies, complemented by psychodrama, equine therapy, yoga, and mindfulness practice. Women also have access to psychiatric consultation and medication management, family therapy, grief counseling, nutritional guidance, and daily recovery meetings that include 12-step groups.
