About Miracles Inc

Miracles Inc is a faith-based behavioral health organization in Wichita, Kansas, that serves people living with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. They pay particular attention to women, families, youth, and people facing poverty or homelessness. They see addiction as a disease that touches body, mind, relationships, and spirit and wears down whole families, so their approach draws on each family’s own strengths in recovery. Their care includes intermediate and reintegration residential services at their residential campus, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment at their behavioral health center, and drug and alcohol assessments.

Their flagship Miracles House offers dual-diagnosis treatment for women, including mothers who need to keep their children with them during care. For those who also need stable housing, Sanctuary House provides transitional living for single homeless women with co-occurring disorders, and Shelter Plus Care offers permanent supportive housing for people whose chronic addiction has put their housing at risk. Young people have dedicated options as well: Steel Magnolias is an outpatient program for ages 14 to 23, Magnolia Place offers permanent supportive housing for 18- to 22-year-olds aging out of foster care or in crisis, and a prevention program works with at-risk children and teens. A peer-to-peer mentorship program, along with community outreach, education, and advocacy, supports people beyond formal treatment.
