About Milestone Addiction Treatment LLC
Milestone Addiction Treatment, which operates as Milestone Treatment Center, is a Joint Commission-accredited outpatient addiction program in Merchantville, New Jersey, with sister locations in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Euless, Texas. They approach substance use as a complex health condition rather than a moral failing, and their care is trauma-informed, client-centered, and affirming of all gender expressions and sexual orientations. They treat drug and alcohol addiction alongside co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Care is offered through standard outpatient services, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) available in person, in the evenings, or by telehealth, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
The IOP involves 9 to 18 hours of group therapy each week, spread over three to five days, plus weekly one-on-one counseling and optional family therapy. Most clients complete it in six to ten weeks, moving through phases that build from stabilization and coping skills toward deeper trauma work and long-term goals. Therapy draws on DBT, EMDR, emotion-focused therapy, and art, music, and yoga, with specialized groups for older adults, parents, LGBTQ+ clients, and people working through relapse. For MAT, the team may prescribe naltrexone for alcohol use disorder, buprenorphine options such as Suboxone and Sublocade for opioid use disorder, and GLP-1 medications when appropriate, while case management, private transportation, and affiliated sober living housing help with practical needs. Many private insurance plans are accepted, but Medicare and Medicaid are not.
