Mile High Behavioral Healthcare is a Denver-based nonprofit behavioral health agency that has served the community since 1960, with a home office in the Globeville neighborhood and additional sites in Sheridan, Aurora, and Summit County. They focus on high-risk, high-need people, offering affordable, nonjudgmental care for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, along with support for trauma and housing instability. Their services are largely outpatient and include individual, family, and group counseling, enhanced weekly programs, DUI education and therapy, case management, relapse prevention, and aftercare. They accept self-referrals, outside referrals, and court-ordered clients, and telehealth is available for every program.

At their Sheridan integrated care site, nurse practitioners from a partner clinic, supervised by a board-certified addiction physician, provide medication-assisted treatment with Antabuse, buprenorphine (Suboxone), Campral, and Vivitrol, alongside primary care, abstinence monitoring, crisis support, and peer recovery services. Specialized tracks include Momentum, a men’s recovery program built on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, anger management, and trauma-informed care, as well as the TECH Project for men ages 18 to 30 transitioning out of incarceration. Teens can access an adolescent program that combines experiential treatment, educational programming, and support for their families. They also run dedicated services for LGBTQ2S+ and transgender individuals, Veterans, women and single-parent families, and people living with HIV, plus harm reduction and employment and housing assistance.
