About Midwest ADP

Midwest ADP is a counseling and court services provider in the Kansas City metro area, with in-person classes held in Gladstone, Missouri, along with other area sites and remote sessions. They mainly serve people working through legal requirements related to alcohol or drug use, especially Missouri residents arrested for DWI or DUI who need the Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program (SATOP) to satisfy a court order, reinstate a driver’s license, or both. Their services include SATOP screenings, alcohol and drug education and counseling, outpatient treatment, and supervised probation. Their focus is on making court-ordered steps as manageable as possible, with weekday office hours and after-hours appointments available.

Everyone entering SATOP starts with a screening that reviews their driving record, their blood alcohol level at arrest, and a computer-scored assessment, followed by an interview with a substance use counselor. The results determine placement in one of the four SATOP service levels they offer: the Offender Education Program (OEP), the Weekend Intervention Program (WIP), CIP, and SROP. The Missouri Department of Mental Health has approved them to deliver parts of SATOP remotely, so screenings can begin from home and many OEP and WIP sessions run over Zoom. They also offer an 8-hour driver improvement course certified by the Missouri Safety Center, a 4-hour shoplifting and theft education class, and Victim Impact Panels, all of which require pre-registration.
