Metro Treatment of Florida in Saint Augustine is part of New Season, an outpatient opioid treatment network that has focused on opioid use disorder since 1986 and now operates more than 80 centers in 20 states. They treat dependence on heroin and prescription painkillers by combining medication-assisted treatment with counseling, viewing addiction as a disease that responds to steady, supportive care. Care centers on outpatient MAT, and the network also offers an intensive outpatient program for adults who need more structure without moving into residential or inpatient treatment.

Medication options include methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone, with a physician helping each patient choose, and counseling is available in individual, group, and family formats. The IOP meets three times a week for three-hour sessions over at least six weeks, covering wellness, recovery skills, resiliency, and weekly family work, and it is open to adults who are pregnant, involved with the justice system, or managing mental health or chronic health conditions. Once patients reach a stable dose, they may qualify for take-home medication and for video counseling and medical visits at no extra cost. Staff also connect patients with help for housing, jobs, food, transportation, insurance enrollment, and peer support, and they accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance plans.
