About Metro Treatment of Florida LP

Metro Treatment of Florida LP is part of New Season, a network of outpatient opioid treatment programs that has focused on opioid use disorder since 1986 and now runs more than 80 centers across 20 states, including this clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Their care centers on medication-assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone, paired with counseling so that both the physical and psychological sides of addiction are addressed. A physician selects the medication for each patient to ease withdrawal and cravings, and an intensive outpatient program is available for people who need more structure than standard outpatient care. They accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance plans, and grants and self-pay are also options.

Counselors work with patients in individual, group, and family sessions. The intensive outpatient track meets three times a week for three hours per session over at least six weeks, and it includes wellness, recovery, and resiliency education, weekly family sessions, and attention to mental health, trauma, and crisis needs. Once patients reach a stable dose, they may qualify for take-home medication and for secure video counseling and quarterly medical visits, which can reduce trips to the clinic. To help with everyday barriers, they also connect patients with housing, employment, food, transportation, phone access, insurance enrollment, peer recovery support, and partner primary care providers such as 904 Health.
