About Metro Treatment of Florida LP

Metro Treatment of Florida in Vero Beach is part of New Season, a national network of outpatient opioid treatment programs that has focused on opioid use disorder since 1986 and now runs more than 80 centers in 20 states. They help adults dependent on heroin or prescription painkillers by pairing medication with counseling, and they treat addiction as a disease that responds to steady, supportive care. Their main service is medication-assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine, or Suboxone, with the medication chosen for each patient by a physician. The network also offers an intensive outpatient program for people who need more structure than standard outpatient care.

Counseling is offered in individual, group, and family formats. The intensive outpatient program meets three times a week for three hours per session over at least six weeks, and it covers wellness, recovery, and resiliency education, weekly family sessions, and skills such as emotional regulation, coping, and recognizing triggers. It is open to adults with co-occurring mental health or chronic health conditions, people involved in the justice system, and pregnant patients. Once patients are stable on their dose, they may qualify for take-home medication and video telehealth counseling at no added cost, and staff can connect them with help finding housing, jobs, food, transportation, and phone service, along with peer recovery support and assistance enrolling in insurance, as Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial plans are accepted.
