About Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services

Meadows Integrated Outpatient Services is the Syracuse, New York, home of Helio Health’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, one of only 13 such clinics in the state. They provide outpatient care for substance use and mental health conditions under one roof, with an emphasis on trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based treatment that also attends to physical health. They serve adults and children, people with long-term chronic substance use, veterans and service members, and individuals who are insured, uninsured, or on Medicaid. No one is turned away for inability to pay, and essential services are discounted based on household size and income.

Care begins with screening, assessment, and diagnosis, and weekday walk-in hours let people start without a scheduled appointment. From there, clients can access outpatient counseling, withdrawal management, peer and family support, targeted case management, psychiatric rehabilitation focused on daily living skills, and primary care screening and monitoring. For moments of acute need, they offer crisis stabilization, emergency intervention, and 24-hour mobile crisis teams. Staff also coordinate with hospitals, primary care, schools, child welfare, foster care, and the criminal justice system, which can help people whose recovery involves several of these systems at once.
