About McKinley Hall Inc

McKinley Hall is a private nonprofit addiction treatment provider in Springfield, Ohio, with a long history of serving Clark County. They are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services. Their approach matches the intensity of care to the severity of each person’s substance use, in the least restrictive setting that fits. They emphasize quick access to help, especially for pregnant women, people who inject drugs, and anyone leaving a hospital, treatment facility, or jail. Care ranges from outpatient aftercare as light as one hour a month, to intensive outpatient programming of up to 15 hours a week, to a 30- to 45-day men’s residential program, along with ambulatory withdrawal management and long-term medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.

Every patient is paired with their own therapist and case manager. Intake includes a thorough assessment that also screens for co-occurring mental health conditions, untreated physical health problems, and social service needs, with referrals made when care isn’t available on-site. Men can attend morning or evening outpatient sessions, or stay in a 14-bed residential home with 24-hour staffing. Women receive gender-specific, trauma-informed treatment, with additional services for children in their mothers’ care. A criminal justice program helps people returning from incarceration reduce barriers to housing and employment, and they run two recovery houses each for men and women. Their community outreach includes a syringe exchange, Project DAWN, an Opioid Response Team, and drug disposal bags.
