About Maryland Treatment Centers
Maryland Treatment Centers, also known as Mountain Manor Treatment Center, is a family-run addiction and mental health treatment organization with locations throughout Maryland, including inpatient and outpatient sites in Baltimore. Now in its second generation and serving the Mid-Atlantic region for more than 40 years, they take an integrative, holistic approach and welcome people of every race, religion, gender identity, and income level. Their care spans medical detox, short-term inpatient rehab, long-term residential programs, intensive outpatient, standard outpatient, and recovery support services. Many of their staff are in recovery themselves, and a number graduated from one of their programs.
Inpatient stays usually last around 21 to 28 days, with addiction medicine specialists using medications to keep withdrawal safe and manageable while counselors build early recovery skills and an individualized continuing care plan. Medication for relapse prevention can be started at every inpatient program, and step-down options help people carry their progress into outpatient care. Outpatient locations provide individual and group counseling in person or by telehealth, with buprenorphine (Suboxone) and Vivitrol available everywhere and adolescent services offered in Baltimore, Westminster, and Rockville. They accept Maryland Medicaid and most commercial insurance, offer sliding scale fees or public funding for uninsured patients, and can arrange transportation when needed.
