Malvern Treatment Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is one of three inpatient detox and rehabilitation campuses operated by Malvern Treatment Centers, a private addiction treatment provider that has served the Delaware Valley since the late 1940s. They help adults who have become dependent on drugs, alcohol, or both, and they follow a continuum-of-care approach called the Malvern Model. That path begins with detox and medication induction, moves into residential treatment, and then continues into outpatient care. Their inpatient services follow ASAM criteria and include medically monitored withdrawal management, medically monitored intensive inpatient care, and clinically managed residential rehab, with a co-occurring enhanced track for people who also have mental health conditions.

Every resident receives an individualized treatment plan and a primary therapist who stays with them through their stay, along with group and one-on-one sessions, psychoeducation, and aftercare planning. Their clinical work draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and experiential activities, all delivered within a trauma-informed setting built around the Seeking Safety model and 12-Step integration. Families are brought into care through sessions with master’s-level family therapists, and residents can also include other people in their support network in their recovery plans. For opioid and alcohol use disorders, they offer medication-assisted treatment with Vivitrol and Suboxone, including Suboxone maintenance for people who live alone or with supportive family, agree to random drug screens, take part in a 12-Step program, and continue outpatient treatment within the Malvern system.
