About Lotus Center Inc

The Lotus Center is the outpatient substance use treatment program of Lotus Recovery Inc, a nonprofit recovery organization in Moorhead, Minnesota, that serves adults 18 and older from both Minnesota and North Dakota. Their work is grounded in harm reduction: they encourage abstinence as the healthiest path but don’t require it, and they treat any positive change as progress worth celebrating. They don’t rely solely on 12-step models, though they support clients who find them helpful. Care is offered at three outpatient levels based on ASAM criteria: standard outpatient (Level 1.0), intensive outpatient (Level 2.1), and partial hospitalization (Level 2.5).

Getting started is meant to be easy, with walk-in chemical dependency assessment clinics on a first-come, first-served basis that determine the right level of care without a long wait for an appointment. Programming includes individual counseling, group therapy, relapse prevention, skill building, psychoeducation, case management, and recovery planning, and a multidisciplinary team adjusts each person’s plan as their needs change. Through a partnership with Valley Medical, they also offer medication management and medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone. Beyond treatment, Lotus Recovery runs Solid Ground Transitional Living, a structured recovery housing option, and The REC, a recovery community organization offering peer support, support groups, recreational activities, and a volunteer and internship program in peer recovery services.
