About Limen House
Limen House, now operating as Limen Recovery + Wellness, is a nonprofit recovery organization in Wilmington, Delaware, that St. Andrew’s Church founded in 1969 to support people with substance use disorders. They treat addiction alongside co-occurring mental health conditions. Their approach starts by giving people room to rest and get their bearings, then moves into a structured daily rhythm of clinical care, shared responsibility, and community life. Their services include residential treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient counseling, sober living homes, recovery outreach, and an alumni program, and they connect anyone who needs medical stabilization first to the right level of care and stay involved afterward.
Their residential program opened in 2025 and operates at ASAM Level 3.1. It provides around-the-clock support with medication administration, access to medical doctors and psychiatrists, and a clinician-built plan that addresses each person’s medical, psychological, social, vocational, and legal needs. Therapy draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and medication-assisted treatment, along with mindfulness, meditation, and exercise for those able to take part, while family therapy helps rebuild trust and address strained roles at home. Through a merger with TRIAD Addiction Recovery Services and the One Big House partnership with Friendship House, they also link clients to outpatient care, recovery housing, and supportive services, and they accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance.
