About LifeWorks NW

LifeWorks NW is a long-running community behavioral health provider with a clinic in Beaverton, Oregon, and more than a dozen other sites across Washington, Clackamas, and Multnomah counties. For over 60 years they have offered mental health care, addiction treatment, and family support for people of all ages. Their addiction services help teens and adults struggling with alcohol, fentanyl, opioids, methamphetamine, marijuana, ketamine, kratom, and gambling. Care is available at outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential levels, and clients usually start with more support and gradually step down to less frequent sessions as they stabilize.

Clients work with a team that can include addictions counselors, peer recovery mentors, and mental health therapists, with services coordinated for anyone who also needs mental health care. Treatment includes individual and group counseling, one-on-one peer mentoring, clean and sober outings, and family sessions and support groups, and child care is provided while parents attend appointments. For people facing a DUII, they offer diversion counseling that helps clients meet court and DMV requirements, with evening, in-person, and online options. They also run residential programs where pregnant and parenting women can live with children up to about 8 and a half years old while working on recovery, parenting, mental health, and trauma, including Project Network in NE Portland, which focuses on the African American community.
