About LifeWorks NW

LifeWorks NW is a long-established behavioral health provider serving the Portland area, with 17 locations across Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties plus telehealth options. For more than 60 years they have offered mental health care, addiction treatment, and family support for people of all ages. Their addiction services serve teens and adults at the outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential levels, and they treat problems with alcohol, fentanyl, opioids, methamphetamine, ketamine, kratom, and marijuana, as well as gambling. They start where each person is, often providing more support early in treatment and gradually stepping clients down to less frequent groups and counseling as stability grows.

Clients work with a team that can include addictions counselors, peer mentors, and mental health therapists, using individual and group counseling, one-on-one peer recovery mentoring, sober outings, family sessions, and support groups. Mental health care can be integrated into treatment, and child care is available while parents attend sessions. A DUII diversion program helps people meet court and DMV requirements, with evening hours and in-person or online sessions. For pregnant and parenting women, their Project Network residential program in Northeast Portland lets children up to age 8½ live on-site, addresses recovery, parenting, trauma, and mental health, places a focus on the African American community, and requires no referral.
