Lifeline Connections is a community-based behavioral health organization headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, and they have served the Pacific Northwest since 1962. They treat substance use and mental health conditions, with care spanning medically assisted withdrawal management, residential treatment, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, medication assisted recovery, and crisis support. Their 16-bed detox program in Vancouver accepts walk-ins around the clock, typically lasts three to five days, and uses medication when needed to ease withdrawal, though they can’t currently serve pregnant women or people who need a benzodiazepine taper. They are in-network with most major insurance plans and offer a sliding-fee scale for those who qualify.

Residential care is gender-specific, with a men’s program at the Vancouver VA Campus, a men’s low-intensity residential program in Bellingham, and women’s and pregnant and parenting women’s programs at their Women’s Recovery Center in Vancouver. Residential stays combine individual and group therapy with education classes and recreation, and some programs add equine-assisted therapy and exercise access. On the outpatient side, walk-in Rapid Response Clinics in Vancouver, Bellingham, Mount Vernon, and Oak Harbor offer quick access to medications like Suboxone for opioid and alcohol use disorders, and therapeutic specialty courts give people a treatment-based alternative to jail, with staff reporting progress to the court. They also stand out for their outpatient program for Deaf and hard of hearing clients, which is led by counselors who are Deaf or hard of hearing and fluent in American Sign Language, alongside peer support to help people build lasting recovery networks.
