About Life Link

The Life Link is a licensed community mental health center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, working with people whose lives have been shaped by homelessness, mental illness, trauma, exploitation, and addiction. For alcohol and drug problems, they provide outpatient care that includes an Intensive Outpatient Program, treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and a range of recovery groups. Their approach meets each person at their current stage of change, whether they’re just beginning to consider recovery, actively working on it, or trying to hold onto progress they’ve already made. They are accredited by CARF and also serve as a Core Service Agency and a HUD-approved housing agency.

Beyond addiction services, they offer individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, peer support, and psycho-educational programming grounded in evidence-based practices. Housing is central to their work, and they are Santa Fe’s largest provider of permanent housing for formerly homeless individuals and families. Their 90-day R.I.S.E. re-entry program pairs people leaving the county jail’s recovery-focused unit with transitional housing, job support, therapy, medication management, and outpatient treatment, while their Safe Outdoor Space offers low-barrier shelter that accepts people with substance use or co-occurring diagnoses. They also run New Mexico’s only comprehensive aftercare program for human trafficking survivors, which includes drug and alcohol treatment, complex trauma care, and Suboxone-based medication-assisted treatment, with no requirement to cooperate with law enforcement.
