The Life Change Center is a nonprofit outpatient addiction treatment provider based in Sparks, Nevada, with additional clinics in Reno and Carson City, and they have served individuals and families in Northern Nevada for more than 30 years. Their care centers on medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, including fentanyl, heroin, and prescription painkiller addiction. They pair FDA-approved medications with counseling and peer support, and each client gets an individualized plan. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance, offer an income-based self-pay rate that bundles core services, and keep no waiting list.

Methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone) are the main medications, with naltrexone available for some clients, and medical and counseling staff adjust dosing and monitor progress over time. Their Opioid Treatment Induction Support (OTIS) program, launched with Washoe County in 2023, offers same-day starts and pairs new clients with nurses and certified peer specialists who provide daily coaching through the first 30 days. For co-occurring mental health concerns, they offer psychiatric evaluations along with individual and group therapy, and their family programs help parents, children, and relatives heal together. New clients begin with an intake of one and a half to three hours that covers a substance use assessment, a medical history, and a physical exam.
