About Liberty Centre Services

Liberty Centre Services is a community-based recovery organization in Norfolk, Nebraska, that has served adults ages 19 and older living with mental illness and/or substance use disorders for more than 30 years. Their approach is strengths-based: staff work to identify what each person does well and build on it, with peer support at the center of the process and recovery treated as a real expectation rather than a distant hope. Services fall into three main areas: a clubhouse program offering day rehabilitation and day support, a crisis prevention program providing community-based support, and outpatient therapy for mental health and substance use concerns.

On the outpatient side, a licensed alcohol and drug counselor offers diagnostic intakes, substance use evaluations and education, crisis intervention and risk assessment, EAP therapy, and individual, couple, and family counseling, with a focus on symptom management, trauma resolution, stress management, healthy boundaries, and communication skills. The crisis prevention program includes community support for mental health and substance use, intensive community services, emergency community support, recovery support, peer support, medication support, and transportation. Through the clubhouse, members work side by side as peers and can access volunteer work, transitional and supported employment, help pursuing education, and support for living independently. Most insurance plans, Medicaid, and self-pay are accepted for outpatient therapy.
