About Lena Pope Home Inc

Lena Pope is a long-standing nonprofit in Fort Worth, Texas, that supports children, families, and adults through counseling, education, and behavior intervention, including outpatient substance use treatment for adults. Their substance use services are for people diagnosed with a substance use or dependence disorder who do not need inpatient care, alongside counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavior challenges. They accept many insurance plans, including Medicaid and CHIP, and offer financial assistance based on income and family size so that cost is less of a barrier. Counseling is available across Tarrant, Parker, and Denton Counties, with offices in Fort Worth, Arlington, Weatherford, North Richland Hills, and Roanoke.

The adult substance use program is group-based and follows a structured curriculum covering triggers, relapse prevention, coping skills, anger management, drug education, and managing depression. Licensed, master’s-level therapists also provide individual and family counseling, play therapy, and mental health assessments, either in person or through teletherapy, using evidence-based and trauma-informed methods. For young people involved with the juvenile justice system, they run referral-based programs such as Second Opportunity for Success, a seven-week small-group program for first-time offenders and their families, and in-home Functional Family Therapy focused on strengthening family relationships.
