Into Action Recovery’s Abbotsford Rehab Centre is a men-only residential addiction treatment program in Abbotsford, British Columbia, run by an organization that has worked with men in recovery since 2012. They treat dependence on alcohol, drugs, or both, and they approach addiction as a chronic, relapsing condition that usually calls for more than a brief stay. Care takes place in a home-like house rather than a clinical facility, and the program relies on structure, daily routine, accountability, and a sense of brotherhood among residents. Men who need acute medical detox, particularly from alcohol, may be referred to a partner detox center before admission, because that service is not provided on site.

Treatment follows two stages. The first is a full-time residential program lasting at least 60 days, with extensions possible, built around a set daily schedule of individual counselling, educational and process groups, AA, NA, and SMART Recovery meetings, physical activity, and aftercare planning. Clinical work draws on CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapy to address the patterns underneath substance use. After completing the first stage, men can choose an optional sober living stage of about 30 days or longer, which offers more independence while keeping curfews, house chores, daily meetings, and weekly on-site counselling in place, and residents can work, attend school, or take part in community activities as they prepare to return to everyday life.
