Infinity Health is a federally qualified health center serving southern Iowa and northern Missouri, with Lamoni among the communities where they offer behavioral health and substance use services. They first opened in 2005 as Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa and took the Infinity Health name in 2022. They focus on care for uninsured and underinsured residents, seeing patients regardless of their ability to pay. Outpatient substance use disorder treatment is offered alongside primary medical care, mental health services, dentistry, mammography, and pharmacy services, so people can address addiction within the same system that handles the rest of their health.
Their outpatient substance use treatment helps people stop using drugs or alcohol, with care that can vary in format and length depending on individual needs. Licensed staff also conduct Department of Transportation substance use evaluations for people who have violated DOT drug and alcohol rules, and they provide mental health counseling, individual and family therapy, medication management, and telemedicine visits for those who live far from a clinic. A sliding fee scale based on household size and income, a 340B prescription discount program, and an in-house pharmacy in Leon help keep costs down, and a dedicated substance use line and after-hours behavioral health emergency line offer support outside regular office hours.
