About Indiana Ctr for Recovery/Alcohol and
Indiana Center for Recovery’s Indianapolis location is a drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment center in Marion County. It is part of a ten-site network across Indiana and is the organization’s smallest and most private facility, serving only a few patients at a time. They treat substance use alongside co-occurring anxiety, depression, and trauma, with a focus on medical detox and rehab for alcohol, fentanyl, heroin, meth, benzodiazepines, and prescription painkillers. Care runs from detox and inpatient rehab with psychiatric support through step-down outpatient options such as intensive outpatient, so people can move between levels as their needs change.
Treatment plans combine evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, ACT, motivational interviewing, medication-assisted treatment, and trauma-focused work. They also offer EMDR for trauma and GeneSight genetic testing to guide medication choices, plus art, music, yoga, and fitness and nutrition support. Families can take part through therapy, a Family Weekend, and a dedicated family liaison, while alumni peer coaching and aftercare planning continue support after discharge. Transportation is provided and smoking or vaping is permitted, and they accept major insurers such as Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and UMR.
