About Huntington Comprehensive Treatment
Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient opioid treatment program in Huntington, West Virginia, and part of the Comprehensive Treatment Centers network operated by Acadia Healthcare. They serve adults 18 and older of all genders who are living with opioid use disorder. Their care centers on medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which pairs prescribed medication with counseling so patients can stop using opioids without facing severe withdrawal. Same-day admission and walk-ins are available, appointments can be scheduled around the clock, and most insurance is accepted.
Patients can choose among several medications, including methadone, Suboxone®, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. The treatment team assesses each person’s needs to decide which option fits best and supervises its use, and take-home dosing is available. Because medication alone doesn’t resolve the emotional, social, and behavioral side of addiction, they also provide individual and group therapy. These sessions give patients space to work through the experiences behind their opioid use and build a steadier footing for long-term recovery.
