About House of Hope Inc
House of Hope, Inc. is a nonprofit alcohol and drug addiction treatment center in Grove, Oklahoma, offering both residential and outpatient care. Their work is rooted in a 12-Step philosophy that treats recovery as lifelong, with a focus on helping people replace self-defeating attitudes and behaviors and take responsibility for their actions. They charge on a sliding scale based on family size and income, and no one is turned away for inability to pay. Beyond treatment, they also run community prevention education for at-risk youth.
The residential program serves adult men on an open-ended basis, with each person’s length of stay set by assessments from Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselors. A team of counselors and paraprofessionals addresses physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs, with education covering assertiveness, self-esteem, relationships, anger management, grief and loss, communication, goal setting, and aftercare planning. Outpatient services are open to men, women, and families, combine group and individual sessions, and start with a full social assessment, and hours can be adjusted to fit a client’s schedule. They also offer drug testing, a Batterers Intervention Program, and strong encouragement to join groups such as AA, NA, Al-Anon, and Nar-Anon.
